That will depend on the nature of the claim. For example, a delayed flight may warrant compensation of up to RD$350,000.00. A canceled, overbooked flight or a denial of boarding without justification may entitle the passenger to significantly higher compensation. For lost or damaged luggage, compensation can be up to RD$100,000.00. It is important to note that not all cases are treated the same. For instance, a person who misses a flight to visit a sick relative or attend a business meeting may receive higher compensation than someone traveling for vacation. However, every passenger is entitled to compensation when the airline fails to fulfill the terms of the transportation contract entered into with the traveler.
You can claim any flight cancellation, a boarding delay for more than 6 hours, overbooking, denied boarding, loss, damage or delay in the delivery of luggage.
